Thursday was Young Texans Against Cancer’s “Kiss My Grits” Gulf Coast Throwdown fundraiser at Winter Street Studios. The fundraiser was completely sold out and raised $45,000 to spread cancer awareness.

10  different chefs from some of the best restaurants in Houston put their spin on grits.  After sampling each and every creation, I’d say my favorite was Jason Gould, chef at Cyclone Anaya’s who made this truly delicious bacon, herb, and cheese grit cake topped with pulled pork and a delicious arugula and apple salad.  (Note:  I ate it all and didn’t stop to take a picture, pictured above is another amazing creation)

The drinks were a fun addition to the night with drinks such as Arnold Palmer (pictured) and this interesting Lavender Honey creation.
It was such a fun night and eEvents Group were proud to be a part of it!
